9/23/22: Character Cloth modeling in progress

As we continue our Production, my duties were to make cloth in Maya. Just like last semester, I have been researching what other ways I can do to make cloth.
Right now, I got level zero base mesh cloth, but what I noticed is I want to sim it and making cloth does take a lot of time to test. I got some suggestions to try either Houdini or Marvelous Designer. I have been watching some basic tutorials of how to use Marvelous Designer. I heard that the software was used for fashion industry. I personally feel the marvelous designer might be the right way to work on instead of modeling the character's clothing. My next plan is model the hair and teeth and start sculpting the facial features of the Hunter.
While I have been going through the process, my team and I discussed about style. Style is one of the most important thing to know for the senior short. I have been sharing some ideas of what we can do for character and environment style. I listed some ideas what our characters could stylized as:
-Legend of the White Snake
-Shen Qingqiu from Scumbag System

Moreover, for character style, I had experience making a Chinese character model from my previous semester. My goal at the time was making Donghua character model. Here was my previous work:

Environment styles:
-Love Like the Galaxy
Throughout my childhood, I have watched a lot of Chinese cinema. I have seen Crouching Tiger and Hidden Dragon, House of Flying Daggers, and Hero. I enjoyed watching Chinese movies and dramas. Over summer, I watched a lot of Chinese dramas and I feel they are useful for the team to see the references and lighting. I shared the Love Like the Galaxy scenes of the lanterns and bamboo forest. I really admire the lightings and the environment, so I shared it with those who are working with the environment modeling.
