3/31: Texturing Progress

Over break, I have been texturing the Hunter because one of my classmates needed to test the textures on Unreal Engine 5 as soon as possible. I followed the tutorial of an artist who worked on Silco character from Arcane. Our goal is to create painterly style. The first step I worked is the skin. The skin took a lot of time and effort. Below this was the skin texture in Base Color format in Substance Painter.

Before I export them for Unreal Engine, I exported them out for Maya because I wanted to take a look if the textures look alright. I plugged in the texture files in the Arnold settings. This is how it turned out.



The Hunter is starting to look amazing! The last thing I will finish texturing is his hair cloth and the eyes. The eyes is the only difficult one I will experience.
