1/25: Winter Break Ends; Beginning of Production III

Over winter break, I had a great time spending time with my family and my partner. I went to California to visit my partner. He and I went on a cruise to discover Baja California. The place I visited was Ensenada. I really want to travel everywhere around the world. It reminds me the time I studied abroad to Copenhagen, Denmark for learning Scandinavian designs, meeting digital design studios, and tour around gaming studios. I felt relieved from all the stress I had from school. Production was pretty difficult at first because of time management. Having a break is good for everyone to take care of themselves.

After I came back home on Christmas, I, again, felt relieved and free from all the stress. Since I realized that time flew quickly, I did wonder whether I should take a little step further to help my Production team, and I want to get started building a portfolio. I wanted to texture the protagonist, the Hunter. I did contacted my team for feedback on texture the Hunter; although, there was no answer.

I believe everybody was exhausted and I should have let them enjoy their break. Even though I started to work on texturing, I thought about working my portfolio because my goals are still on my list. I mentioned that I want to apply for an internship and/or entry level position. I recently applied Riot Games, Blizzard, Nickelodeon, Tencent, Crystal Dynamics, Ubisoft, and IO Interactive (from Denmark). I did not add my Hunter character into my portfolio because I felt very self-conscious that it was not 100% finished. It is still in progress for the senior thesis. I really wish I can show the progress I did because my dream is to be a 3D Character Artist and/or 3D Environment Artist. I am nervous of what their decision is going to be after I applied. Not only I applied internships and entry level jobs, I also have been planning on applying for Master's degree.

I know there are so many open opportunities out there. I thought about this because I want to gain more knowledge as a 3D Artist if I do not have any job offers. Perhaps getting a Master's degree will help me gain more knowledge and improvement. I am looking forward to see what is open for me.

Now my school has started, I feel way more prepared and confident than last semester because I believe we will gain lots of support from our faculties and my team and I will learn how to manage our work. I hope that this semester will be my best moment and resolution for new year.
