I never traveled far away from United States ever (well except Canada). Before I started my journey to Copenhagen, Denmark, I was introduced to my instructors from University of Colorado Denver about this place. I have thought about studying abroad there because I have heard some great places that relates towards my major and my future career interests. I finished my Junior year in 3D Graphics/Animation. At first, I wanted to find 3D Animation internships for this summer. As I have been applying, I have not gotten any offers nor any interviews, so I chose going abroad instead. I later got an email that I got accepted to Scandinavian by Design program. I believe this study abroad opportunity is a great idea to gain experience to see what is out there. I am looking forward to see the culture and the world. I will be in Copenhagen, Denmark for 3 weeks (starting from May 21st to June 10th).

My suggestion on flying on a long flight... don't drink coffee!! I had a rough time taking a nap flying 8 hours from Denver to Munich, Germany (I had to stop there because flying to Denmark is very far), and then I flew from Munich to Copenhagen which was an hour and 45 minute flight. Lufthansa has nice resources like watching movies and seeing their flight cameras. While most people were sleeping, the sun was setting and I saw beautiful pink clouds. I always love to sit by the window.

This is where I am living: BaseCamp (Sølvgade Kaserne)
