I decided to write about my experiences on two days (June 6th and 7th) in this blog because my free day was pretty short, but it was great opportunity for my own quality time ~
6/06:
We had our own free day. My friends and I went to a restaurant called Far's Dreng at Rosengarden. There were two Far's Dreng restaurants in Denmark. The other is located at Ny Adelgade. They had nice smørrebrød and desserts. I had a hard time choosing what to get but I found that we can only choose two smørrebrøds. I tried their potato and chicken salad smørrebrød. My friend tried the signature one that contains egg, avocado, and organic cheese. My other friend had a plaice smørrebrød. This restaurant is also good to try for more open-faced sandwiches.
6/07:
After I had an open day for myself, my colleagues and I met Thomas Dambo at Roskilde Studio at Gadstrup, Denmark. Thomas Dambo creates wooden troll sculptures. I remember I worked on wood sculpting from my 3D Design course. Even during the pandemic, our campus was closed and we were not able to use the wood cutting sources. It was difficult to work on wood sculpting, but it was really fun to get creative with it. While we toured around the studio, I personally love how they are making a small house as a personal space for young people to come and visit. I found out that we had to participate on building walls with wood in the small house. I knew wood sculpting is not really my best skill, but I like to gain experience on how to build inside the house. Perhaps in the future, it will help me understand on how I can take care of my own future house. We did not finish the entire work but I hope in the future I could visit their studio, again, and discover the new look.
