Our next visit was going on a train to Hilsingor, Denmark for Maritime Museum and Kronborg Castle Tour. After we experienced those two, we go on a ferry to Sweden.
While I was on a train, I saw an ocean view. My instructor told me that this is where we will see Sweden. I saw a lot of boats. I feel Denmark really loves sailing. I really wish someday I could go on one of those big boat rides, but ferry rides are nice as well.
Inside the Maritime Museum, I saw lots of historic installations of ships, interior designs, technology for tattoos, and other souvenirs. While I looked at every ship, it almost reminds me of Titanic.
After I discovered the Maritime Museum, we went to Kronborg Castle. I found out that this castle has one of the famous plays being involved in this place which was William Shakespeare's Hamlet. While I walked passed through the bridge, I saw a sculpted hand at the water. I found out this was created because it brings the theory of a princess being drowned. As I kept walking pass through the entrance, the architecture and the sculptures are beautiful. I really love how spacious the castle is. I feel the castles I visit has very good spacial aspects and the sculpture and architecture work from the entrance just makes you feel more welcomed. When I walked inside, it's like I'm in a period drama series. I love the chandeliers and the costume dress design.
At first, I did not think we would go to Sweden during the study abroad trip. I was surprised that we get to visit another country as well. I always kept thinking that our main focus is Denmark, but it seems like we got another opportunity to see more. Even though I am very bad at geography, I learned that Denmark and Sweden are neighbors. We toured around in Helsingborg. What's funny is that I forgot to contact my bank that I was traveling Sweden as well. They knew that I was going to Denmark but not Sweden. I was panicking that if I paid my card for lunch, my account would be closed, but as I double checked, I realized it was working! Thank goodness! 😂 Sweden has their own different type of currency which is Swedish Krone. For Denmark, it is Danish Krone. After my relief, I enjoyed the salmon.
I think my favorite part on that day was visiting Sweden because we have good transportation by riding on a ferry, and it is open for everybody to see the country next to Denmark. I heard that we will be visiting Sweden again to get to know more studios. I can't wait! :)
